# Mark payout request as paid

> Record that an approved payout request has been paid outside Partnero

## Endpoint

```
POST https://api.partnero.com/v1/payout_requests/{id}/mark_as_paid
```

Use this after you've paid the partner outside Partnero, for example with your own bank transfer. The status becomes `finished`, the payout's commissions are marked as paid, and the partner gets the "payout sent" email.

The request must be approved first. Allowed statuses are `approved`, `approved_auto_scheduled`, `failed_auto_scheduled`, `intermediary_approved_scheduled` and `mass_approved_scheduled`.

<Note>
  Payouts paid through Partnero's Wise account (intermediary payouts) can't be marked as paid. They're settled automatically.

## Error responses

| Status | Error | Solution |
| - | - | - |
| 404 | Payout request not found | Check the `id` is correct for this program |
| 422 | Payout request with status "requested" cannot be marked as paid | [Approve](/api-reference/payout-requests/approve) the request first |
| 422 | Payout that belongs to intermediary payout cannot be marked as paid manually | Intermediary payouts are settled automatically |
