# Integrate Ghost
This guide explains how to integrate Partnero into your Ghost publication to track referral-driven subscriptions and member signups. These instructions can also be found on your Partnero account, under **Integration** > **Guides** tab > **Ghost**:

### Step 1: Start tracking website visitors
To track visitors on your website, you need to install the PartneroJS snippet as custom code.
#### Install the PartneroJS Snippet
1. On Partnero, go to **Integration** > **Guides** tab > **Ghost**. Click **Instructions**.
2. Copy the PartneroJS snippet:
3. Log into your Ghost Admin panel.
4. Navigate to **Settings** → **Code Injection**.
5. In the **Site Header** section, paste the PartneroJS snippet
6. Click **Save** to apply the changes.
Alternative method: Add the script to your Ghost theme's default.hbs file in the head section.

### Step 2: Member sign-up tracking
⚠️ **Important**: You must track member signups with partner attribution before Stripe integration will work.
1. On Partnero, open the Ghost integration guide and copy the snippet provided under the Member signup tracking section:
2. Return to Ghost and paste the code snippet under **Settings** > **Code injection** > **Site header** section.
3. Click **Save**.

### Step 3: Subscription tracking
Partnero offers three subscription tracking methods. Select one that works best for your setup and follow the instructions provided in the Memberstack integration guide under **Integration** > **Guides** tab > **Ghost**.
#### Method 1: Stripe integration
**Recommended**: Since Ghost uses Stripe for membership payments, connecting your Stripe account directly to Partnero provides the most reliable tracking.
**Prerequisite**: Member signup tracking (above) must be implemented first.
#### Method 2: Ghost webhooks
Use Ghost's built-in webhooks to automatically send member and subscription data to Partnero when Stripe integration is not available. 
#### Method 3: JavaScript tracking
Track subscription payments and upgrades using Ghost's Portal events when Stripe integration is not available.
