# Send program emails with MailerSend

> Use your own MailerSend account and domain to send your program's emails

MailerSend is one of the email gateways Partnero can send your program's emails through, alongside SMTP, Gmail,
[Brevo](/integrations/send-program-emails-with-brevo), and Partnero's own built-in sending. Connecting your own
MailerSend account lets those emails go out from your domain.

<Note>
  This is about **sending email**, not syncing data. MailerSend does not receive your partners or customers —
  for that, see [Mailchimp](/integrations/mailchimp) or [MailerLite](/integrations/mailerlite).
</Note>

## Connect MailerSend

1. In your program, go to **Emails** under Affiliate.
2. On the **Settings** tab, click **Setup** next to **Use MailerSend**.
3. Paste your MailerSend API token — see
   [managing API tokens](https://www.mailersend.com/help/managing-api-tokens) if you have not created one.
4. Click **Connect**.

Once connected, MailerSend shows a green checkmark, meaning it is available for use.

## Choose your sender

Connecting the gateway does not change which address your emails come from. Select your newly connected domain
under **Sender email**, then click **Update** to save.

## Disconnecting

Disconnecting stops your emails being sent through that account until you connect it again. If the domain you
were sending from belonged to MailerSend, it is no longer selectable as a sender and you will need to pick
another one.

    The sending domain has to be verified in MailerSend before it will accept mail for it. Verify the domain in
    your MailerSend account, then try again.
