# Custom commission for individual partners
In addition to your program’s default commission settings, you can assign **custom commission rates** to specific partners. This lets you reward top performers, support special campaigns, or tailor incentives for individual relationships. By setting custom rates, you can motivate high-value partners and align rewards with strategic goals without changing the overall program structure.
To set a custom commission rate:
1. Navigate to **Partners** under **Reporting and management**.
2. Find the partner using their name or email address: 
3. Click on the partner to open up their profile.
4. Click on the three dots at the upper right corner and select **Manage**: 
5. In the modal, select the **Commissions** tab: 
6. Select the **Custom** option to edit their:
\- Commission type (static or percentage);
\- Commission amount;
\- Commission period;
\- Payout threshold. 
7. Click **Update**.
