Setup

​
Step 1: PayPal Business Account

Ensure you have a PayPal Business account with Payouts enabled:
  1. Log in to PayPal Business
  2. Go to Account Settings → Business Information
  3. Verify Payouts feature is enabled
PayPal Payouts requires approval. Contact PayPal if not yet enabled.

Step 2: Create API Credentials

  1. Go to PayPal Developer
  2. Navigate to My Apps & Credentials
  3. Create a new REST API app
  4. Copy Client ID and Secret

Step 3: Connect in Partnero

  1. Go to Program Settings → Integrations
  2. Select PayPal
  3. Enter Client ID and Secret
  4. Choose environment (Sandbox/Live)
  5. Click Connect

Processing Payouts

Manual Payouts

Process payouts from the dashboard:
  1. Go to Payouts → Pending
  2. Select partners to pay
  3. Click Process with PayPal
  4. Review and confirm

Automatic Payouts

Enable scheduled payouts:
  1. Go to Program Settings → Payouts
  2. Enable Automatic Payouts
  3. Select PayPal as payout method
  4. Set schedule (weekly, monthly, etc.)
  5. Set minimum payout threshold

Partner Setup

Partners must configure their PayPal details:

In Partner Portal

  1. Partner goes to Settings → Payout Settings
  2. Selects PayPal as payout method
  3. Enters PayPal email address
  4. Saves settings

PayPal charges fees for payouts:

Testing

Sandbox Mode

Test with PayPal Sandbox:
  1. Select Sandbox in Partnero settings
  2. Use sandbox API credentials
  3. Create sandbox business account
  4. Create sandbox personal accounts for test partners
  5. Process test payouts

Test Accounts

Create test accounts at developer.paypal.com:
  1. Go to Sandbox → Accounts
  2. Create Business account (sender)
  3. Create Personal accounts (recipients)

Troubleshooting

  • Verify PayPal email is correct
  • Check partner’s PayPal account is verified
  • Ensure sufficient balance in your PayPal
  • Verify API credentials are correct
  • Check you’re using correct environment
  • Regenerate credentials if needed
  • Partner needs PayPal account
  • Some countries have restrictions
  • Check PayPal account limits
